DERA ISMAIl KHAN: Pakistan People’s Party Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday said KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s attitude towards the federal government was irresponsible.
“His relations with the federation are not good,” said the PPP leader a day after Gandapur issued a statement wherein he had warned the Central and Punjab governments to mend their ways after a court had issued his warrants for arrest.
Kundi was critical of the recent statement of the KP chief minister about addressing the bribery issue in the government departments.Addressing the party workers in Syed Alyan village, Gandapur had asked the people to smash the official’s head with a brick if he demanded a bribe from them. The statement invited severe criticism from the media and others.
The PPP leader said Gandapur should realize that he was a chief minister before issuing such irresponsible statements. “He (Gandapur) himself cannot believe that he has become a chief minister,” said Kundi sarcastically.
Scoffing at the chief minister’s solution for addressing the bribery issue in the government departments, he said that the Tehsil Municipal Administration used to be a financially stable entity but was now in a financial crisis. “If we go by the solution suggested by the chief minister, then even a truckload of bricks will run short for the purpose,” he said adding these bricks may reach the chief minister’s house as well.
