Natalie Elphicke, the MP for Dover who defected to Labour last week, says prime minister Rishi Sunak has failed to protect the UK borders with record small boat arrivals.
The now-Labour MP introduced party leader Keir Starmer, who has set out his plans to tackle the small boats issue using counter-terrorism powers.
