Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud in Riyadh, expressing satisfaction over the progress made on decisions taken during their meeting in Makkah earlier.
According to a statement from the Pakistan Minister’s Office (PMO), both leaders agreed to further enhance cooperation in various sectors.
PM Shehbaz expressed gratitude to the Saudi prime minister for sending a high-level delegation under the leadership of the Saudi foreign minister to Pakistan and for considering sending further delegations to Pakistan to explore investment opportunities in the country.
The premier also thanked the crown prince for the warm hospitality during his visit to the kingdom and for arranging comprehensive programmes for Saudi investment in Pakistan by Saudi ministers.

The situation in Gaza was also discussed during the meeting. The prime minister extended an invitation to the Saudi crown prince to visit Pakistan.
Earlier this month in another meeting between the two leaders in Makkah, PM Shehbaz discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest with the Saudi crown prince.
According to the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Mohammed Bin Salman received Shehbaz at Al-Safa Palace, in the presence of Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. “They had the Iftar meal with HRH the Crown Prince,” it added.
The Prime Minister’s Office said in its handout that after the Iftar meal, the prime minister and the Saudi crown prince sat for a one-on-one meeting. It added that the prime minister conveyed his best wishes for the health and well-being of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
Later, a high-level Saudi delegation visited Pakistan, where multiple agreements were signed between the two brotherly countries.
