KHAR: Former special assistant to chief minister on minority affairs Wazir Zada on Sunday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) mandate had been stolen in the February 8 election.

Talking to reporters during his visit to Bajaur, he said that the mandate of the PTI was stolen in the last general election and the Form-47 prime minister was imposed on the country.

The former aide to the chief minister said the reserved seats were also snatched from the PTI and were allotted to other political parties.

Wazir Zada, who is also the president of the PTI KP’s Minority Wing, said that the Pakistan Muslim League-led government had done a great injustice to the minorities living in the tribal districts.

He said that the previous PTI government had released over Rs3 billion for the uplift of the minorities during its tenure.

However, PDM government had stopped the release of the funds, which were earlier approved by the PTI government.
