Tony Bobulinski impeachment probe testimony, Letters

The Issue: Former Biden family associate Tony Bobulinski’s testimony in House impeachment probe.

These hearings are nothing more than theatrical grandstanding (“Big Bobulinski vs. first family,” March 21).

It doesn’t appear that the proceedings — in this case, Tony Bobulinski’s testimony — are intended to unveil substantive information.

Not only was Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez not versed in the meaning of RICO, she epitomized the characteristic Democratic modus operandi of repeating: “What is the crime?”

Ocasio-Cortez seems to think that if she shouts louder and drowns out the testimonies, then she can nullify their validity, and convince everyone else of the same.

The House is becoming the classic model of a kangaroo court.

Process and justice in America have reached an all-time low.

If nothing else, AOC behaved and sounded like an ignoramus during her heated exchange with Hunter Biden’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski.

She is an embarrassment to herself as well as our nation and has no business in Congress.

She needs to go back to school.

Get out the popcorn: The impeachment inquiry is finally getting to the good parts.

Tony Bobulinski testified and called out Reps. Jamie Raskin and Dan Goldman as liars for their continued alleged attempts to cover up the misdeeds of the Biden family.

And why is AOC trying to convince us that RICO is a category, but not a crime?

All that fire and brimstone to cover up influence peddling.

Yet much of the general public is pretty sure something illegal was perpetrated here.

The truth always comes out eventually.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has proven she is a better mixologist than she is an authority on the law.

She challenged Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner to name a crime that would apply to President Biden.

When Bobulinski referenced the RICO statute, she swiftly admonished him by saying the statute was a category and not a crime.

So much for the dilettante.

My sympathy to her constituents in the Bronx and Queens.

The Issue: Gen. Mark Milley testifying he advised President Biden against a total Afghanistan withdrawal.

Prior to the 2021 US withdrawal from Afghanistan, Gen. Mark Milley told President Biden a unilateral withdrawal was too risky (“Ex-gens. blame A’stan on Biden,” March 20).

However, the president ignored him, which led to total chaos and 13 dead US service members.

If Milley had any integrity, he would have immediately resigned rather than send his troops off to this deadly mission.

It just goes to show: Our soldiers are nothing more than pawns in a harrowing political game.

I’m a US veteran who, alongside thousands of other Operation Enduring Freedom vets, watched my sacrifices in defending Kabul tossed away in August of 2021.

Gens. Mark Milley and Frank McKenzie are both comfortably retired with generous pensions.

We need to stop pensioning crooks and start prosecuting them.

Maybe then some actual leadership and accountability will return to Washington, DC.

I was also appalled that Steve Nikoui, a Gold Star father, was arrested for protesting the withdrawal during Biden’s State of the Union speech.

Nikoui’s son was among the service members killed in the Abbey Gate bombing.
