A man was killed in a firing incident near Hub River Road on Thursday. The incident occurred near Mumtaz Goth, where unknown assailants shot and wounded the man. Law enforcers and rescuers took the victim to the Civil Hospital, Karachi, where he was identified as Saeed.
Police said that initially the motive behind the murder seemed to stem from personal enmity. They said the man suffered two gunshot wounds. They said the victim had been involved in two marriages; his first wife resides in a village, while the second one lives in the city. The police suspected the involvement of a close acquaintance in the murder.
