Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan declared on Friday that his party will adopt a “Fatah-e-Makkah” approach upon returning to power, vowing not to seek political vengeance.
“We will not take any political revenge, but we will take the country and the nation forward for the sake of the development of the country and the nation,” he stated, as conveyed by PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan following a 30-minute long meeting with Imran Khan at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
Accompanying Ali Muhammad Khan were PTI leaders Latif Khosa and Amir Dogar during the discussion.

Ali Muhammad Khan highlighted Imran Khan’s reference to former South African President Nelson Mandela’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, underscoring the importance of truth and forgiveness in propelling the nation forward.

“PTI coming to power will take Pakistan towards political stability and development, not revenge,” Ali reiterated, quoting Imran Khan’s stance.
Imran Khan’s assertion comes amid mounting political tensions in Pakistan, with the country grappling with economic challenges and an uncertain political landscape.
The statement comes as the party claims that 85 National Assembly seats that the party won in the February 8 polls were “snatched” and termed the alleged rigging as the “largest assault on democracy” in Pakistan.
A day earlier, the former PTI chairman had demanded that the US should adopt a tough stance on “rigging” the recent general elections in Pakistan.
After meeting Imran in Adiala Jail, PTI leader Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, accompanied by former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser, told the media that the former premier had pushed the US to take a tougher stance on the recent general polls.
He further quoted Imran as saying that the manner in which the PTI was ousted from the polls, the US should be more vocal.
Barrister Saif said the PTI founding chairman was of the opinion that the US had supported the governments of dictators and corrupt people, but now it was presented with an opportunity to raise its voice on Pakistan’s election “rigging”.
