ISLAMABAD: Founder PTI Imran Khan approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to get the detailed verdict of the cipher case and Toshakhana NAB reference.
PTI founder through lawyers Barrister Salman Safdar, Hamid Khan Advocate and Barrister Ali Zafar in separate petitions filed in the Islamabad High Court took a stand that the trial of the cipher case and the Toshakhana NAB reference was conducted against the legal requirements.
There are legal defects in the trial, the lawyers of the accused were not allowed to cross-examine the prosecution witnesses during the trial of both the cases.
Decisions were pronounced by these special courts in violation of Section 367 of the Criminal Code.
The petitions urged the Islamabad High Court to issue orders to the Special Official Secrets Act court to provide copies of all evidence, interim and final orders in the cipher case.
