Addressing a worker convention in the National Assembly Constituency NA-118 on Monday, he said, “We have left our affairs to Allah. We will come up with a 10-year economic development plan with all the parties to bring the country out of the economic crisis,” he announced. He said that in 2013, the PMLN government had ended loadshedding and terrorism, put the country on the ladder of economic development but during the PTI era the country had to bow to the world for only one billion dollars. “If the founding PTI chairman had not been removed from power, the country would have gone bankrupt, he claimed and said today inflation had made people sleepless. “People have to decide either to pay electricity and gas bills or send their children to school and feed themselves and their families,” he maintained.
He said that he considered PMLN workers his family. He maintained that during their tenure, the party kept inflation and the dollar under control and raised the growth rate from 1.9% to more than 6%. “In every term of Nawaz Sharif, numerous development projects including motorways were built. During the 16-month government of PDM, the PMLN paid a heavy political price to save the country from bankruptcy. If the country prospers, smoke will come out of the country’s factories and workers will get employment. Every citizen should go to the polling booth on February 8, 2024 to welcome the prosperity of the country by voting for the PMLN,” he added.
