The video dropped on Instagram by a food channel captured the cook using a rolling pin to roll balls of flour dough to create a flattened structure. Next, he added a dollop of Nutella, which is a sweetened hazelnut cocoa spread, upon the flat dough. He sprinkled some more flour on top of the gooey spread and wrapped it up uniformly. The result? A chocolate-filled dumpling. What followed was deeply frying the Nutella dumpling on a wok, filled with boiling oil. Once the thing achieved its golden-brown colour, the cook moved on to the next step. Brace yourselves, it will get more peculiar. He grabbed a plate and arranged an assortment of sabzi, curries, and chutney on it and topped them off with some salad. Once the fried Nutella dumpling was added to the thali, the food was ready to be served.
Food enthusiasts were not only sceptical about this strange thali dish, but they also reacted strongly to the post. One user took no time to remark, “People who do like this. Have confirmed reservation in Hell”.
Taking a sarcastic dig at the food preparation, another wanted to know, “At first you will eat all veggies and then you put this chocolate wrap in your mouth like a dessert?”
