Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett accused former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of elbowing him while he was talking with a reporter on Capitol Hill.
McCarthy had walked by with his security detail and bumped into Burchett, who was one of the eight Republicans that voted to oust the former speaker, according to the congressman and NPR reporter Claudia Grisales.

The alleged altercation appears to have been unprovoked, but illustrates the growing tensions among House Republicans.
“He’s a bully with 17 million dollars and a security detail,” Burchett told CNN afterwards. “I’m probably not going to do an ethics complaint on him. He’s not worth it.”
