Moving on to melons, the process is straightforward. Checking the stem is the key: if it’s green, the melon isn’t ripe, but if it’s dry, it’s good to go. When it comes to pineapples, the selection is as simple as assessing the colour. Green pineapples are a no-go, while orange ones are perfectly ripe.
