Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister in cypher case.
As per details, the PTI chief is summoned to the FIA Islamabad Headquarters on July 25 in the cypher case.
The joint inquiry team will investigate the PTI chief and former prime minister. The inquiry team was constituted at the request of the federal cabinet.
Furthermore, the FIA notice ordered to bring all the documents related to the cypher and if the PTI chief did not appear before the FIA, unilateral action can be taken against the former prime minister.

In the summons, the FIA has warned the PTI chairman that action will be taken against him if he fails to appear.
The development came after the then-principal secretary of the former prime minister, Azam Khan, recorded a statement in which he called the ex-premier’s use of the US cipher a “conspiracy” to “manipulate for creating a narrative against the state institutions.”
The former bureaucrat, in his confession, said when he provided the ex-premier with the cipher, he was “happy” and termed the language as a “US blunder”. The former prime minister then said, according to Azam, that the cable could be used for “creating a narrative against the state institutions.
