From chaat to dessert, regional specialities to drinks – there is so much food that we can explore from the comfort of our phone screen. Recently, however, a bizarre breakfast dish caught our attention and made us quite confused. In this strange pairing, the much-loved dessert jalebi was paired with aloo sabzi. Believe it or not, the breakfast dish surfaced online and made internet users quite uncomfortable. Take a look:

The video was shared on Twitter by popular blogger @MFuturewala, where it received over 53.5k views and hundreds of comments and likes. The original video source was not mentioned in the tweet. “Jalebi with Aloo Sabzi… Aisa bhi nashta hota hai kya? Batao mitron, [Is there even a breakfast like this? Tell me friends]” he wrote in his tweet. In the short 22-second clip, we could see piles of jalebi already prepared and kept in a tray. A couple of jalebis were added to a bowl and topped with aloo sabzi and a dash of curd. While usually these toppings are added to chaat items like kachori and papri, this pairing of jalebi with it was quite startling.
A flurry of reactions poured into the jalebi video topped with aloo sabzi. “A serious crime against humanity! Where can this be reported,” said one user. “Unpopular opinion but I love eating jalebi and samosa/aloo tikiya,” wrote another one. Others said that the humble jalebi should not be messed around with. Take a look at some of the reactions:
