In a bizarre turn of events, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain finds himself embroiled in a rather unusual case involving the theft of a washroom tap. As per Express News report, Fawad Chaudhry is nominated in a total of 11 cases, which include this peculiar allegation, among others.
The revelation came to light during a hearing presided over by Justice Anwarul Haq Pannu of the Lahore High Court on Friday.
Fawad Chaudhry had filed a plea seeking details of the cases registered against him by the Punjab Police. The court was presented with a report by the Punjab Police, which confirmed that the PTI leader is indeed facing 11 cases.
Surprisingly, one of the cases involves the theft of a washroom tap and pipe. The FIR against Fawad Chaudhry was lodged at the Cantt Police Station in Multan and was filed by Mazhar Hanif. The complaint alleges that Chaudhry was involved in the theft of a tap and pipe from a school washroom. Additionally, he is also accused of being involved in the theft of wiring of electricity at Government Primary School Khairpur Bhatta.

The report further reveals that two cases have been registered against Fawad Chaudhry at the Sarwar Road and Race Course police stations in Lahore. Another case has been lodged in Multan Cantonment, with yet another in Jalilabad, Multan. Additionally, there is one case each registered against the PTI leader at Attock, Jhelum, and Faisalabad police stations.
The counsel representing Fawad Chaudhry expressed concern over the filing of baseless cases against his client on political grounds. He requested the court to obtain details of all the cases filed against PTI leaders and to put an end to the alleged harassment through the filing of unknown cases.
The hearing concluded with an adjournment until May 22, when further deliberations on the matter will take place.
While the case involving the theft of a washroom tap may seem comical and peculiar, it adds to the legal woes of Fawad Chaudhry. As the PTI leader navigates through these legal challenges, the outcome of the ongoing proceedings will determine the impact on his political career and reputation.
