The tweet featured a video of the four officers chosen from the US consular offices in Washington DC, Japan’s Okinawa, and Hong Kong. They have been tasked with reducing visa interview wait times, facilitating travel to the US, boosting India-US business opportunities, and supporting family reunification.

Currently, non-immigrant visa applicants from Mumbai need to wait for 694 days to just get an appointment, showed a US government website. For Delhi, the wait time is 614 days.
