Civil society protest against honour killing

QUETTA:

Civil society and human rights groups staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club against the brutal murder of Bibi Amna, who was killed on October 2 allegedly by her husband for honour in Quetta’s Satellite Town.

“We demand the arrest of the killer of Amna Bibi,” Sana Durrani, the Chairperson of the Non-governmental Organizations Alliance said. She said police failed to arrest the culprit involved in the killing of Amana, adding that she was killed allegedly by her husband while offering prayers.

The protesters carried placards and banners inscribed with slogans, demanding justice for the deceased. They also chanted slogans against the administration for what they called its failure to apprehend the culprit.
