Padma Lakshmi Shares Her Recipe Of Dal Tadka- Take Notes

But, amid these various recipes, we all can agree that nothing beats the ultimate comfort of a simple bowl of yellow dal tadka. A wholesome bowl of spicy dal tadka spread on ghee rice or paired with a plain phulka is an indulgence defined in every bite. No matter where you live, this staple food is a hit in every Indian household. Recently, celebrity television personality and cookbook author Padma Lakshmi also shared her own recipe of how she makes dal tadka at home. In her recipe, she tells a quick and easy way to cook dal tadka, which looks drool-worthy!

Padma Lakshmi took to Instagram to share this recipe. In the video, she begins by boiling yellow dal in a cooker. Then side by side, she makes a tadka from onion, ginger, garlic, and green chillies. She first sautés the onion and gradually adds the other ingredients, masalas, curry leaves, and tomatoes. Finally, she added this tadka to the boiled yellow dal with some spinach and served it with steaming rice! In the caption of her post, she wrote, “Verified Tadka Dal. This isn’t the first time that Padma Lakshmi has been vocal about her love for food. She often posts about her various indulgences and also shares her recipe. Earlier, the TV personality had shared her neembu achaar recipe. In the video recipe that she posted, she shows a step-by-step way of making neembu achar at home.
