Surprised everyone by coming back from a groin injury at the weekend. Wasn’t asked to do much in the first half but called into action twice in the second half. Mehdi Taremi had the best chance but he hit it straight at Oblak, then it was turned behind for a goal-kick. Got his hand to a ball in the box that might have saved a goal, too. Couldn’t do much for the Matheus Uribe penalty, even though he nearly saved it — 7.

Nahuel Molina
Another shaky performance from the Argentine after his last display — the Villarreal game — when his error led to a goal and he was sent off. He was indecisive at times and made the wrong decision on other occasions. He was duly whipped off at half-time — 4.
Jose Giménez
Not a great first half. He gave the ball away needlessly at the end of the half, which resulted in danger — 6.
Axel Witsel
Solid performance from a savvy player. Thought he might have given away a penalty late on but the Porto player, Taremi, ended up being sent off for a dive. Played a vital role in the later Antoine Griezmann winner, flicking it on to the back post — 7.

Reinildo
Not a classic performance from Reinildo. Moved around to adjust to the system and seemed to fall asleep at the back post as he got dragged in and left his man free for what was a golden chance for Porto — 5.
Yannick Carrasco
Disappointing in the first half, when a couple Atlético Madrid attacks broke down due to him losing the ball. He did show his quality later in the half when he delivered a good ball across the box that led to a Koke chance. Replaced at half-time as Diego Simeone changed systems — 4.
Koke
Not his greatest first half, but he did see a shot saved from outside the box. Started the second half well with a goal that was ruled out for offside — pity too, because it was a delicious finish from the captain — 6.

Marcos Llorente
Started in the middle but was sent to right-back when Molina was replaced. Looks fit and raring to go but looks nervous on the ball, overhits passes and not providing anything in attack — 5.
Saúl Ñíguez
Another slog for Saúl. His return to Atlético has not been ideal, and it’s the fourth game in a row where he has failed to play more than an hour — 4.
João Félix
Loves a big night and played well in the first half. A joy to watch him dribbling, but end product from both him and his teammates still lacking. Drew a number of fouls and continued to look dangerous when he could get on the ball, but was replaced after 70 minutes for Ángel Correa and he didn’t look happy — 6.
Álvaro Morata
Linked up really well with the other attackers on occasion and helped Atlético keep the ball, but went out of the game in the second half. Replaced by Mario Hermoso after 67 minutes as Simeone looked to find more balance — 5.
Rodrigo de Paul
Looked like he really, really wanted to make something happen, but he was isolated on the right at times and Atlético’s attack is malfunctioning, so the end product just wasn’t there — 5.
Thomas Lemar
Came on at half-time and offered a lot more than Saúl in attack, even if he might be a little more complacent off the ball. Not his best game, but Atlético struggled for long spells during the second half — and with Morata and Félix off, the options ahead of the French midfielder were limited — 5.

Mario Hermoso
Under the cosh for long spells after replacing Morata. He drilled a shot a mile wide late in the second half but got another chance, took a calm touch and then finish with the help of a 92nd minute deflection. Celebrated like a man who needed a bit of luck, but living proof that football can be cruel as his handball led to a late penalty and equalizer — 5.
Antoine Griezmann
Some nice link up play with Correa but starved of the ball after coming on for his customary half-hour cameo before he popped up with a last-minute winner — 6.
Ángel Correa
Same as Griezmann. Struggled to see much of the ball, but credited with an assist on Hermoso’s after some clever movement to find the Spaniard — 5.
