The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) on Wednesday stated it has imposed a penalty of Rs 1,00,000 on e-commerce participant Flipkart for permitting the sale of substandard home drive cookers on its platform.
Speaking to PTI, CCPA Chief Commissioner Nidhi Khare stated a penalty of Rs 1,00,000 has been imposed on Flipkart for permitting the sale of substandard drive cookers on its e-commerce platform and violating the rights of customers.
Flipkart has additionally been directed to inform shoppers of all 598 drive cookers bought on its platform, recall the drive cookers and reimburse cash to the patrons, she stated.
The corporate has additionally been requested to post a compliance file of the similar inside 45 days, she added.
