Massive flash flood washes away bridge in Upper Kohistan

A short lived bridge within the Dasu house of Upper Kohistan district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was once washed away because of an enormous flash flood at Uchar nullah, Minister for Climate Sherry Rehman mentioned on Friday.

“Massive flash flood at Nullah (RD 303) in Dassu district, KP. Compact bridge has been washed off with the flood surge,” she wrote on her legit Twitter deal with.

Karakoram Highway is blocked on all sides at this time and no buses are allowed for now on Babusar highway. “All DCs [deputy commissioners] of the world want to stay vigilant. The bridge was once now not resilient,” the minister added.

Meanwhile, in an advisory, the National Highway Authority (NHA) mentioned that the Karakoram Highway was once two-way blocked for all sorts of site visitors because of the huge flash flood on the Uchar nullah which washed away the brief “Compact 200 bridge”.

NHA and Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) groups were mobilised on the website for recovery of site visitors hyperlink, it added.

“Travellers making plans to transport forward of Dasu from and to Gilgit and different spaces, are asked to make use of the trade direction by the use of Kaghan and Babusar Pass for each techniques of site visitors,” learn the remark.
