“We are intently following the war of words with the fireplace within the business zone. We agree with the government of the courageous province, the courageous firefighters, and the CUPET staff,” tweeted President Miguel Díaz-Canel, relating to the state-owned Cuba Oil Union.
Cuba’s state-run media stated no deaths were reported.
“No human losses, accidents or gasoline spillage into the ocean had been reported after the fireplace,” tweeted Cuba’s Ministry of Energy and Mines.
An electric discharge on the base of the oil tank, which shops crude oil, led to the fireplace, in line with Susely Morfa González, the primary secretary of the Community Party of Cuba within the province of Matanzas.
The hearth didn’t have an effect on the Thermoelectric Powerplant Antonio Guiteras, the ministry stated, which contributes to the nationwide electrical energy device.
