Torres introduced his resignation in a letter to President Pedro Castillo on Wednesday, attributing his determination to “private causes” and wishing his “pal” Castillo good fortune.
“I retire from this place after having served along you, our hometown (and) in particular the put-off and forgotten other folks,” stated Torres’ letter, which he posted on Twitter.
By Peruvian regulation, Castillo should settle for or reject his resignation.
Castillo advised native media on Thursday {that a} new cupboard can be sworn in on Friday.
