PDMA warns extra rains in Balochistan


The Provincial Disaster Management Authority predicted extra rains in several portions of Balochistan.

According to a file issued by means of PDMA, flooding is predicted in several spaces of Balochistan as heavy rains are anticipated from August 10-14.

PDMA has issued a flooding alert for Qila Saifullah, Loralai, Sherani, Sibbi, Dera Bugti, Bolan, Mosa Khel, Barkhan, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Awaran, Kharan, Tubat, Panjgor, Harnai and Sorab.

According to PDMA, 176 individuals together with 77 males, 44 ladies and 55 kids had been killed up to now from the hot monsoon rains and flooding in Balochistan.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority reported that the heavy rains brought about lack of 23,013 cattle and broken 198,461 acres of plants in Balochistan.

According to knowledge shared by means of the PDMA, 75 other people, together with 48 males, 11 ladies, and 16 kids have been injured because of floods, whilst over 1500 other people have been displaced.

The file knowledgeable that the deaths in rain-related incidents have been reported from Chaman, Kech, Barkhan, Dera Bugti, Zhob, Duki, Pishin, Panjgur, Kohlu, Harnai, Killa Saifullah, Sibi, Lasbela, Loralai, Jaffarabad, Kalat, Khuzdar and different districts.

The PDMA reported {that a} general of 18,087 properties have been broken or demolished because of the floods within the province. Six other highways with 670 km period and 16 bridges have been broken because of the floods, it added.
