Education experts urge fair use of funds

MANSEHRA: Education experts on Friday urged Parents Teachers Councils (PTCs) to ensure the corruption-free utilisation of development funds for quality education in schools across the district.

“Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has released funds to PTCs constituted in each school across the district, and we are optimistic that these funds will be utilised for the welfare of students,” Rafique Javed, the deputy education officer, said at a meeting of social mobilisers held at Government Higher Secondary School 1.

He emphasised the significance of the government’s decision to release funds to PTCs throughout the district for launching development schemes that could positively impact the quality of education in public sector institutions.

“These councils are established in every school throughout the district to address issues that can promote quality education,” Javed stated.Speaking on the occasion, Programme Coordinator Zulfiqar Ahmad said the government was working on a comprehensive strategy to address issues and hurdles in the way of quality education.

“The chairmen and members of these councils should prioritise schemes before executing them,” he said.Principal Wajid Iqbal, Vice Principal Amjad Ahmad, and Budgeting Officer Amjad Iqbal were also in attendance.
