World Bank backs Rural Youth Summit


The three-day Rural Youth Summit 2023, organised under the auspices of Pakistan Community Support Project in collaboration with the World Bank, is all set to commence today in Peshawar.

The summit aims to empower young people from rural areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa with digital tools and the latest technologies.

The conference’s theme is “Digital Solutions for Rural Youth.” It marks a revolutionary step for young people from rural regions of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The summit aims to facilitate the transfer of information, exchange of ideas, improvement of skills, and sharing of experiences among young people.

Additionally, it will provide a platform to empower youth to innovate and address local development challenges while benefiting from both governmental and non-governmental organizations’ experiences.

The collaboration between the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government and the World Bank underscores their joint vision of achieving sustainable development through the youth of the region.

The Rural Youth Summit is part of groundbreaking initiatives for Pakistani youth, offering opportunities for rural youth to learn. In the summit, experts and other young individuals can exchange ideas on rural development issues and their solutions.
