This Is What Dwayne Johnsons Post-Workout Cheat Meal Looks Like

For most of us, weekdays are all about working, wrapping up chores, and tackling every challenge coming our way. And then, after a week of toiling, comes Sunday, which brings with it the much-needed relaxation. The definition of enjoying a weekend varies from person to person. While some may like to go out on a dinner date, others prefer to stick to their bed. However, for Dwayne Johnson, his Sunday priorities are a soul-satisfying post-workout cheat meal and a good American football match to accompany it. It even sounds relaxing, right? In his latest Instagram reel, the actor revealed that it had been weeks since he got his Sunday off. So, he decided to compensate for that with an elaborate post-workout meal.

In the reel, ‘The Rock’ teased us with a plate full of delicious scrambled eggs with some crispy turkey bacon on the side. Not just this, he moved the camera to show us some delectable coconut banana pancakes “smothered with peanut butter” and gave a close-up while pouring sauce on it. To feed his bulging muscle, the actor shared that he scrambled a dozen eggs consisting of 10 whites and 2 whole, and topped it with some feta cheese.

“At Last baby. Been weeks since I had a Sunday off…  Post-workout cheat meal train in full effect! Dozen eggs scrambled (10 whites & 2 whole) with feta cheese and criiiiispy turkey bacon. Coconut banana pancakes smothered with peanut butter and drenched in syrup,” the caption read. Take a look at the full post here:

We know, the actor has now prompted you to plan a similar breakfast meal this Sunday or at least those fluffy pancakes. So, we have got the recipe for some classic American pancakes for you.

Below are the ingredients you need for the pancakes.

  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Baking powder – 1 ½ tsp
  • White sugar – ¾ tbsp
  • Milk – ¾ cup
  • Small egg – 1
  • Salt – ½ tsp salt
  • Melted butter – 2 tbsp
  • Maple syrup or honey
  • Mixed berries (or any other mixed fruit you have)
  • Powdered sugar

Once all the ingredients are on the kitchen slab, follow these steps.

Step – 1 Take a large bowl and add all the dry ingredients in it. Make a well in the centre and pour some milk, melted butter, and egg. Then mix everything to obtain a smooth batter.

Step – 2 Place a frying pan on medium-high flame and oil it slightly. Pour the prepared batter onto it using ¼ cup for each pancake.

Step – 3 Cook the pancakes from both sides until they turn brown.

Step – 4 Sprinkle some dusted sugar and top it up with mixed berries and serve the pancakes with maple syrup and melted butter on the side.
