A recent jury verdict issued in federal court sexual assault case against Carnival Cruise Line brought attention to what some experts say is a lesser-known danger on cruise ships.
The jury in the Southern District of Florida in late July found that the cruise line owes over $10 million to a woman who alleged a crew member, Fredy Anggara, raped her during a 2018 cruise, court documents show. He was not named as a defendant.
